How we handle your information

RoadReco Privacy Policy
Effective Date: May 7, 2026
RoadReco ("we," "us," or "our") is a roadside service coordination platform serving the Cincinnati–Dayton corridor and beyond. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you submit a service request, communicate with dispatch, or use roadreco.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using our website or services, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
When you submit a service request or interact with RoadReco, we may collect:
Contact information: name, phone number, email address.
Service details: vehicle make/model/year, type of issue, photos of the issue or part numbers, your location (including GPS coordinates if you provide them).
Billing information: company name, billing contact, purchase order or reference numbers as applicable. Card details are entered directly with our payment processor (Stripe) — RoadReco does not store, see, or transmit full card numbers.
Communications: the content of texts, calls, and emails between you and RoadReco dispatch.
Website analytics: standard web log data (IP address, browser type, pages visited, referring site, timestamps), and any cookies or analytics identifiers used by tools like Google Analytics. You can disable cookies in your browser settings.
We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information you provide to:
Confirm, dispatch, and complete your service request.
Communicate with you by text, phone, or email about your active service.
Generate invoices and process payments.
Coordinate with the dispatched technician so they can locate, assess, and complete your job.
Improve site performance, troubleshoot issues, and measure marketing effectiveness in aggregate.
Comply with legal obligations.
We do not send bulk marketing email. Communications you receive from RoadReco are tied to active or recent service requests.
3. SMS and Call Consent
When you provide your phone number on a service request, you consent to receive service-related calls and text messages from RoadReco — including dispatch confirmations, ETA updates, technician arrival notifications, and follow-ups about the job.
These communications may be sent using automated systems. Message and data rates may apply depending on your carrier.
You may opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP. For help, reply HELP. Opting out of SMS will not remove your ability to call or be called by dispatch in connection with active service.
4. Sharing Your Information
We share information only as needed to complete your service:
Dispatched technicians: the assigned technician receives the contact, location, vehicle, and issue details necessary to reach you and complete the job.
Payment processor (Stripe): billing details for invoicing and payment processing.
Service vendors: parts vendors or tow partners may receive the minimum information needed to fulfill an order related to your job.
Legal compliance: we may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect rights, safety, or property.
We do not sell your phone number, email, or personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
5. Data Retention
We retain service request and invoice records for as long as needed to operate the business, comply with tax and accounting obligations, and resolve disputes. Communications tied to a service request are retained alongside that record. You may request deletion of your data subject to legal retention requirements (see Section 8).
6. Security
We use commercially reasonable safeguards to protect the information you provide, including encrypted transmission for forms and payments and access controls on internal systems. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security but work to minimize risk.
7. Cookies and Analytics
roadreco.com may use cookies and analytics tools (including Google Analytics) to understand site usage and measure the effectiveness of advertising. These tools may collect IP addresses, device information, and browsing behavior in aggregated form. You can disable cookies in your browser; some site features may be affected.
We do not use third-party advertising trackers that build cross-site profiles for retargeting unrelated to RoadReco.
8. Your Choices and Rights
You can:
Opt out of SMS by replying STOP to any RoadReco text.
Request a copy of your data by emailing info@roadreco.com.
Request deletion of your data by emailing info@roadreco.com, subject to records we are required to retain for tax, legal, or accounting purposes.
Disable cookies in your browser.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state or national privacy laws. Contact us and we will make a good-faith effort to honor them.
9. Children's Privacy
RoadReco is intended for vehicle owners, fleet operators, and drivers. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Third-Party Sites and Embeds
The RoadReco site may include embedded forms (Airtable), maps (OpenStreetMap / CARTO via Leaflet), or other third-party content. These third parties have their own privacy practices, and we encourage you to review them.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the site or services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
